Shipper help

Shippers, or users looking to have goods delivered, can install the PickMyLoad app from the Play Store or App Store at any time, for free!

First time users will be required to register their contact details (email address and mobile number) with the app. You will also be given the opportunity, to enter a method of payment.

Registration takes less than a minute and you’ll be able to start using the app immediately.

The PickMyLoad app is pretty straightforward. Shippers can select their pick-up and drop-off destinations, vehicle category and, if there are any available drivers in the area, start their delivery. You will be able to enter any additional details about the delivery to inform the driver about the specific load.

Once the driver has collected the delivery, shippers can track their delivery in real-time through their smartphones.

If you wish to make a scheduled delivery, you can select the pick-up and drop-off locations, vehicle category and time & date of pick-up.

The Shipping fee that is reflected in your delivery receipt is calculated as a combination of:

  • The base fare, the minimum charge for a vehicle category
  • The distance fare, cost per km travelled
  • The time fare, cost per minute of travel

The base fare entitles each user to certain free km per delivery. This distance varies with each vehicle category.

If you wish to cancel your delivery request:

  • Free of charge if no driver has accepted the delivery request
  • A cancellation fee if the driver is en-route to the pick-up location
  • A portion of the shipping fee, and any other additional costs incurred, if the driver is currently undertaking the delivery

Users will be given the opportunity to call or message the driver if they wish to cancel an ongoing delivery, and required to give a reason for the cancellation. Any transaction conducted with cancellations will generate a summary for the shipper.

If you are unhappy with the delivery service, you may lodge a complaint within the app or send an email to help@ Our dedicated service team will respond to your request as soon as possible.

If you believe you were wrongly charged, please send us an email with the following information:

  • Time and date of the delivery
  • Name of the driver
  • Invoice Number
  • A brief description of what happened

Drivers will be able to select either current delivery requests or scheduled deliveries (bookings) on the delivery map. Once the trip has begun, the app navigation will keep you and the shipper informed of the current location and directions to drop-off. After you have completed the delivery you will receive a summary of the trip, indicating distance traveled, time taken and your delivery fee.

Drivers using the PickMyLoad service receive payments for every delivery that they take up. These payments can come as:

  • Fees for completing deliveries
  • Fees from canceled bookings

Delivery fees, or shipping fees, are calculated based on:

  • A base fare
  • A distance fare, cost per km traveled

Drivers will receive payments on a periodic basis and can check their weekly earnings from deliveries in the PickMyLoad app. The History tab allows you to see completed and canceled delivery trips, and your earnings from each trip.
